A 2024 Blues Music Award nominee for Soul-Blues Female, Kat Riggins and Her Blues Revival! Kat’s own musical style is a blend of the Blues with elements of all of the genres born from it. Aside from the hip shakin’ fun stuff…Kat writes songs that hope to uplift, enlighten and inspire. Her approach is refreshing and unapologetically authentic.

Mike Zito and Guy Hale welcomed Kat Riggins to their Gulf Coast Records family in 2020. Kat’s debut album on the record label earned the artist her first Blues Music Award nomination. In addition to the BMA nod for Contemporary Blues Album, the “Cry Out” project won Kat two Independent Blues Awards (Contemporary Blues Album and Contemporary Blues Band) and it continues to receive rave reviews! Kat was honored to score her second BMA nomination the following year for Blues Soul Artist female!
Kat’s second release on the label, “Progeny”, debut at #13 on the Billboard Blues charts to critical acclaim! The album got Kat her first Blues Blast Awards nomination and 5 MORE Independent Blues Award nominations! Progeny continues to be well received worldwide, and is said to be the singer- songwriter’s best to date, by critics and fans alike. With these and albums to come, Kat Riggins’s Blues Revival Movement endeavors to be a part of this musical revolution that aims to awaken the masses and introduce them to the sincerity behind Blues music!

Where is the Box Office/Will Call? The Box Office and Blues Festival Merch tent is on 11th street Promenade – 11th and Farnam Street – on the Gene Leahy Mall. You can not use your paper receipt to enter a venue. You must come and exchange your receipt for a wristband. VIPs will pick up their VIP lanyard at Jewell on Capitol during the exclusive concert for VIP Ticket Holders.
What time is the Box Office/Will Call open? The Box Office and Blues Festival Merch tent is open from 10:30 AM to approximately 6:00 PM on Saturday, Aug. 3rd. A mini box-office will be open at the Holland Center on 12th & Douglas from 5:30 – 8:00 PM.

May I purchase wristbands at a participating venue before Aug. 3rd? No. Wristbands are only sold at Blues Society of Omaha shows through authorized sellers at our merch table. We will have wristbands available for purchase if you would like to save the (small) fees from Eventbrite. Please watch our Facebook page for the shows that In the Market for Blues wristbands will be available for purchase.
Do you have t-shirts for sale? Yes, In the Market for Blues t-shirts and koosies will be for sale. We also have all of our Blues Society of Omaha merch for sale, including hats, shirts and koosies.
Are there any perks to being a dues-paying member of the Blues Society of Omaha? YES! Thank you for your year-round support of the BSO. When you arrive to the festival to check-in you will receive a $5 “Blues Buck” for a single membership or a $10 Blues Buck on a family or Blue Club Membership. Your Blues Buck will be redeemable on any BSO or In The Market For Blues merchandise or a future BSO sponsored show through 12/31/24. Memberships are available at omahablues.com/membership/
Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event? All venues (except Havanna Garage) are all ages up until 9 PM, accompanied by an adult.

Can I bring in outside food or beverages? No outside food or beverages are allowed. Every venue has drinks available for purchase. Many venues have food available. Please support our local venues who partner with us to bring you this terrific festival for Omaha.
May I bring a lawn chair? The only venue where lawn chairs are permitted is the Gene Leahy Mall at The RiverFront. The Blues Society of Omaha or The RiverFront is not responsible for items left unattended at In The Market For Blues.

What if I bring a friend with me to the festival and they did not purchase their ticket online? Tickets are $35 day of show and are available at our box office on the Gene Leahy Mall at 11th & Farnam.
