The Fission Quintet was formed in order to create and explore new avenues of music. With each of the musicians having strong ties to Black American Music, it was no surprise that they all were eager to continue creating new music after just one rehearsal. This fusion group aims to push the envelope by synthesizing elements of genres like Hip-Hop, Electronic, Rock, R&B, and Bebop in order to achieve a unique and mesmerizing sound.
