In 2020 he won the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. He also won the Cigar Box Guitar award for best guitarist. In 2022 he was nominated for a Blues Music Award for his latest album, Let Loose Those Chains, which made it to #11 on the Billboard Blues Charts.
