Back Alley Betties is an acoustic band that plays a wide variety of songs ranging from folk and bluegrass to rock and blues as well as a several originals. The members of the group are Paul Ries (Bass), Anne McConkey and Bob Hedrick (both play Guitar and Mandolin), and Sue Hedrick (Ukulele). Bob, Sue, and Anne share vocals. We are often complimented for the beautiful harmonies and vocal arrangements from our lead singers. Additionally, people have told us that our “musical well runs deep.” Meaning that while we play familiar covers, we opt for the songs that aren’t heard frequently, and we put our own vibe on these classics.
