About

HomeAbout
    • In 2001, BSO created BluesEd, a non-profit youth artist development program that provides opportunities for young musicians to perform in bands with other students. BluesEd has gained national attention for Omaha and currently operates four youth bands.
    • BSO produces and/or sponsors various music events throughout the year. BSO has been a sponsor for Playing With Fire, Omaha’s fantastic free outdoor concert series held each summer in Omaha. In addition to financial support, BSO has provided significant volunteer hours for many of the events it sponsors. The PWF concert series has drawn national recognition to Omaha.
    • BSO provides support to The Zoo Bar, Lincoln’s award-winning blues venue.
    • BSO hosts an annual toy drive and concert fundraiser for the children of Pine Ridge Reservation.
    • BSO produces charitable events for musicians in need.
