WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER

From rock to reggae, the Stir Concert Cove at Harrah's Casino will feature an eclectic mix of live music this summer.

Harrah's officials on Friday announced the concert lineup for the casinos 2,750-capacity outdoor venue. The fourth annual concert series kicks off May 25 with alt-rock band Cake and ends Sept. 28 with '70s rocker Peter Frampton.

In the coming weeks, Harrah's will add more shows to the initial 16-concert lineup.

Entertainment manager Missy Hardersen said six to 10 additional concerts are planned. The goal is to offer a minimum of 22 concerts. The 2006 series consisted of 17 shows.

"We'll pretty much have a concert every single weekend," Hardersen said. "We're just trying to make Harrah's a fun alternative for summer entertainment. Its a great outdoor venue."

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. April 21 at the Harrahs gift shop, One Harrahs Blvd., Council Bluffs, by phone at 1-888-598-8451 or at www.stircove.com. All shows are 21 and older and begin at 8 p.m.
