Thanks to everyone who came to the Whiskey Roadhouse for the live recording and for Diablo's birthday. We had an awesome time and got some great material for the cd. We learned a little something too; according to the security guards outside the dressing room, you're NOT supposed to have knives in a casino. did they not know who they were dealing with?? C'mon, Lash without a knife is like ... um .. some guy...without a knife. Whatever. Anyway, can you really call it a roadhouse if the band can't have weapons? The highlight of the gigs: Lash - "how's everybody doin' tonight" Random guy in the audience - "You suck!" Priceless. We're gonna find a way to get that on the cd. Also my friend Steve left about 11:45, dropped a buck into a dollar machine and walked with $600!! (I used to be the lucky bastard, but that's a story for another cd). So I guess they really do have the loosest slots in town. Speaking of loosest slots in town....... Thursday night we'll be at Atlantis ( I know... sometimes the shit just writes itself!) 8pm to midnight No cover, free food, Mercs, lap dances, doesn't get much better than that. And the Roadburners are back in town from Austin so we're expecting them out to entertain us with stories from the road, Austin, and Mike Ivers' hair. And if that's not enough, Sat night we're back at Downtown Blues. Still no cover. Great sounding room. And Brian usually comes around with a bottle of SOMETHING to pour down peoples throats. Good Times. So pack your knives and we'll see ya this week. www.themercurys.us www.myspace.com/themercurysus |
