Living Blues magazine has announced the nominations for the 2009 Living Blues Awards and blues fans around the world are invited to vote for their favorites on the Reader's Ballot.

Blind Pig is proud to have one of the fastest-rising blues stars on the current scene, as well as a renowned master of Chicago blues authenticity represented on the ballot.

John Nemeth has been nominated as the "Most Outstanding Blues Singer" while Magic Slim, who is featured on the cover of the current issue of the publication, received a "Best Blues Album of 2008" nomination for his latest Blind Pig release, Midnight Blues.
