Default It's About Time!

It's hard to believe that it's been almost 6 months since the last Sunday Roadhouse.

A lot has happened since then. A new year. A new president..

We're brand-new on Facebook. (With very few friends. Help!)

We say goodbye to the house that Michael Campbell built: the one and only
Mick's Music & Bar. It was a very special place and we'll be talking about
the shows we had there for a long time. Thanks Michael!

The good news is that our new venue, Murphy's Lounge, is no stranger to Roots music. We're jazzed to be working with Terry O'Halloran and staging shows at Murphy's that we'll all be talking about for a long, long time.

To wit, on Sunday, March 1st we welcome back to Omaha hard-chargin', honky-tonkin' JESSE DAYTON!!!

Jesse throws a party every time the band sets up. (Probably why Jim Beam
sponsored him for so long.)

He's played the Super Bowl (the huge party outside, not the 50-yard line)
and he's played the Sunday Roadhouse. He's recorded for a major label and
then asked them to let him go so he could do things his way. (We like that
a LOT!)

Jesse's brand of Country music has been labeled "Turbo Country", reflecting his Rockabilly roots and his having grown up on Blues, Cajun and Punk. That's what we got when Jesse played the Waiting Room in May 2007.

He's both played and recorded with Country legends George Strait, Waylon
Jennings, and Ray Price. And Fats Domino, Jim Lauderdale, and the Dixie
Chicks have appeared on his records.

Turning the cultural page, Jesse recorded a tongue-in-cheek soundtrack for Rob Zombie's horror movie "The Devil's Rejects". It features the we-all-wish-we'd-come-up-with-the-title classic song "I'm Home Getting Hammered While She's Out Getting Nailed". And he's now working on Rob Zombie's new film "H2".
Jesse can do it all and this one's gonna be full-tilt, Honky-Tonk, Rockabilly throwdown. We can't WAIT to see the smiles on your faces when Jesse and the band turn it on!

The show is Sunday, March 1st. Doors open at 4PM and the show starts at 5PM. Tickets are $13 ADV / $15DOS. Advance tickets are available at Murphy's Lounge and online at

It's the Sunday Roadhouse. It's a sure sign of Spring. Hope to see you there!
