Omaha , Neb. – To provide the public and the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards Academy a chance to see and support the 2007 OEA Awards nominees, all are invited to the OEA Nominee Showcase Block Party in Benson on December 5. Five Benson establishments—Barley Street Tavern, España Tapas Bar, Mick's Music and Bar, the PS Collective and The Waiting Room Lounge—will host performers. The event presents dozens of live acts spanning performing arts and live music with a visual arts slideshow, all highlights from the 2007 OEA Awards nominee pool. A $5 wristband gets the public into all participating establishments from 6 p.m. to midnight. Academy members are admitted at no charge and must check in at The Foundry coffeehouse. Band members must also check-in at The Foundry. The evening is sponsored by Bud Select.
"We want people to come early, stay late and see the best of what Omaha has to offer in one evening," said Mike Fratt, Academy/Nomination Committee Co-Chair for Live Music.

España will feature DJs and ethnic ensembles, and the PS Collective will present the performing arts showcase.
