| SOUR MASH TO PLAY AGAIN FOR 25th ANNIVERSARY Remember Mack the Knife? Chattanoogie Shoeshine Boy? The hot swing, soulful country and boogie sounds of Sour Mash travelled the United States , and made theNebraska club scene in the 70s and early eighties. They were pretty big news at the time playing to packed houses every night at such Omaha clubs as The Howard Street Tavern, Shenanigan's, The Saddle Creek Bar, The Music Box, The Lift Ticket, etc. Sour Mash recorded several albums and were the subject of an NETV special "Sour Mash Live At The Howard Street Tavern." The band also appeared on the Illinois Public Television series " Country Music Hall " which featured the best country oriented bands from the entire midwest. Touring extensively from the mid-70s through the early eighties, Sour Mash opened concerts for such name acts as Asleep At The Wheel, The Flying Burrito Brothers, and Dan Hicks and His Hot Licks. Sour Mash is reuniting for several shows in Lincoln and Omaha on the first weekend of August. It commemorates 25 years since the last performance as a full-time band and many of the tunes you remember will be performed again! It will be a great time, and we hope you will make it even greater by being there! If you need further information, you can reach Lisa Good at the above e-mail address, or on my home phone 489-0869. *(Lisa was the one and only roadie for the band, and possibly one of only a few female traveling sound & light technicians in those days! ) HERE IS YOUR INVITATION!
