Here we go again. Another night where music fans need to decide between great choices: Tonight, do you go to Joslyn for Big Red and the Zydeco Playmakers, or go to Murphy's for Ana Popovic? There are some really tempting soundclips of Big Red at http://www.bigredzydeco.net/ His zydeco has a bit of a Reggae feel to some of it. I just may have a new favorite zydeco artist. Ana Popovic, born in Serbia and currently living in the Netherlands, now has two studio albums and a live CD/DVD available, and a history of sold out jazz, pop and blues festivals worldwide. She is the only continental European Artist ever to be nominated for a WC Handy Award and is a winner of one of Frances oldest and most prestigious awards a 'Jazz A Juan Revelations' at Juan Les Pines (2003). She was also nominated for 'The Best Blues Album' at the Jammie Awards, New York, 2003. Showtime of 5:30pm, $10 cover. The Led Zeppelin Tribute band returns to Murphy's at 9:30pm.
