Rollin’ into Omaha a day early for their gig with Playing with Fire Summer Concert Series, the Randy Oxford Band will be stokin’ the fire with an open show at Union Sports Bar, 1420 Cuming Street, near the new stadium and site of Playing with Fire AfterBurn Jam. A great place to grab dinner (try their rib eye dinner, fresh steamed veggies…all were way good! Other good responses on the food at a resent PwF Street Team meeting.) and children over the age of ten (10) are welcomed, as long as accompanied by an adult. Music starts at 9PM. So grab your dance shoes and a few fine friends, then head down to Union Sports Bar to get a preview of what’s to come for July 17th, Playing with Fire.

A Pacific Northwest favorite, The Randy Oxford Band consists of six veteran musicians, each bringing a unique background and talent. Leader Randy Oxford, called a “killer trombonist and notorious wild man” has been honored numerous times in Washington state as "Blues Performer of the Year," with multiple “Best Horn Player” awards, “Entertainer of the Year,” “Keeping the Blues Alive,” and induction into the Washington Blues Society's Hall of Fame. Blues To Do Monthly says Oxford has “incredible stage presence and astounding showmanship. Anyone who has ever seen Randy knows he gives it all at every show.” Performing with the band since 2008, vocalist Jada Amy began singing gospel at church as a child and has done studio work in gospel, jazz, R&B, and hip hop since the age of 14. www.randyoxford.com
