- Howlin' Waters Plays The Blues At The Salt Lick
Bluesman Howlin' Waters rocked The Salt Lick BBQ outdoor stage Saturday, April 13th. Scalding renditions of his originals including "Rainy Day Blues", "Bad Mojo", "Beaumont Blues" and "Say What You Mean" were delivered with fire and intensity to a lively crowd enjoying the beautiful evening with some of their favorite barbecue, beer and Blues!
Howlin' switched seamlessly from intimate acoustic numbers, to scorching electric guitar solos in songs by luminaries that included Robert Johnson, Buddy Guy, Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters.

- Howlin' Waters And Martin Acoustic Guitars
Texas Singer Howlin' Waters uses the new DX Series acoustic from Martin for live appearances and studio work. "These guitars are great for gigs, as they're priced very competitively, and in real world situations where they might get bumped or dinged, you can rest easier that they can take it. I typically don't buy guitars to put in museums...I buy them to work with," states Waters. "I would recommend the Martin DX Series guitars to anyone, and have received some good feedback about these guitars from my luthier, John L. at Round Rock Guitar Center."
Howlin' Waters and the Martin DX Series acoustic guitar - a winning combination for the Blues!
