GIDDIE UP!! BOODY HOSTS EXTREME AT AFTER PARTY

(Omaha, NE) “For Those about To Rock, We Salute You!!!” were the words shouted by Jeff (Boody) Budin just before his friend (guitar great) Anthony Gomes took the stage with his band The New Soul Cowboys.
The site was the Omaha Extreme Car Show (May 16th) at The Digz Sports Complex. This was the second year in a row that the popular SMS Inc sales rep added his flare to the already dynamic car show. Last year’s Omaha Extreme After Party consisted of MMA Fights and this year festivities included a concert from National known recording artist Anthony Gomes & The New Soul Cowboys. www.newsoulcowboys.com The Digz party room filled up quickly with fans wanting to catch one of the hottest bands in America.
“I was real lucky to book these guys,” states Budin “They just signed a huge deal with one of the top agents who handles acts like Kid Rock…so I was so thankful when Anthony agreed to do the show.” (Speaking of Gomes).
“Boody’s da man,” proclaims Gomes “He’s done so many special favors for me and the band. I always look forward to playing any gig that Boody and Crazy Dave support.” (Speaking of SMS owner Dave Gill)
The mixed crowd consisted of anyone from die hard fans, to 12volt factory reps and sponsors, to plenty of car show attendee’s. “This was a great way to cap of an already incredible first day,” tells Inphase Car Audio owner Dave Eary. “Anthony is one of the best guitarist I have ever heard and just a great guy.”
The feeling was mutual from Nebraska Furniture Marts Eliu PaoPao… “I was blown away by this guy and am going to recommend that both our stores carry Anthony’s new CD. We are going to play their new song “Born to Ride” during the unveiling of the new 2010 Camero at tomorrow’s show.”
Another 12 Volt veteran in attendance was no other than JVC’s Bob Mendelke. “I have been a huge fan of Anthony Gomes since Boody brought him in for USACI Finals (Omaha) a couple years ago. He is an amazing talent and I’m going to talk to our marketing department about sponsoring him.”
Richard Ortiz of Pioneer followed suit stating… “Boody told me this band was killer and I should come to the concert to celebrate my birthday, but I wasn’t expecting this!! WOW…what a great time!!”
The highlight of the All Ages show had to be the encore performance that almost never was. After the New Soul Cowboys last song a power circuit to the Digz blew, leaving everyone (including the band) in the dark. Making good on his promise that he made earlier, Anthony (armed now with only his acoustic guitar) called four small children up on the stage to sing along to one final song. “Those kids were in heaven,” stated Boody “It was one of the coolest things I have ever seen. It shows what a great heart Anthony’s got…..I love the guy like a brother. ”
