Default Emmitt-Nershi Band on Easter Sunday @ Slowdown!

Alright Ladies and Gentlemen, we have 3 slammin' shows in a span of 6 days starting Easter Sunday when the Emmitt-Nershi Band arrives at Slowdown to bless your ears and souls. This will be their highly anticipated "Good Life" debut and we couldn't be more excited for this extremely talented group of musicians to finally arrive! After you get your fill of candy, ham and family time hop on down to Slowdown to spend time with your other family as Billy Nershi of String Cheese Incident and Drew Emmitt of Leftover Salmon prepare to get you movin' and groovin'. It is very rare that these guys hit the road and we are very pumped that they will be making Omaha the last stop on their small tour through the region. This is going to be a magical night of music and good people. I've even heard a very special guest will be arriving after all of his hard work is finished on Sunday with surprises for everyone. You will not want to miss this show. Omaha's own Southpaw Bluegrass Band will open the festivities. Show starts at 9pm for this All Ages event! Get your tickets soon as they are going quickly @ Home

About Emmitt-Nershi Band

DREW EMMITT

As the dynamic lead singer and mandolin player with the popular jamband Leftover Salmon and his own Drew Emmitt Band, Drew is a true renaissance man on musical instruments. Playing mandolin, acoustic and electric guitar, he's a string man to be reckoned with. He excels in unique energy driven mandolin licks and his influences include a pantheon of musical heroes including Lowell George, Steve Morse, Duane Allman, John Cowan, Bill Monroe, Sam Bush, Hot Rize and New Grass Revival.

BILL NERSHI

From the saloons of Telluride to the some of the most sought after venues in America, Bill Nershi has delighted countless fans as a guitarist, vocalist, songwriter and founding member of the String Cheese Incident. A seasoned veteran of flat-picking and a variety of acoustic styles, Nershi adds a unique, colorful perspective to virtually any musical situation he encounters, and his enthusiasm and playful spirit encourage an interactive, participatory experience for musicians and fans alike. His most recent forays into dobro, bass, and lap steel playing, as well as his accomplished songwriting contributions with the recently-formed Honkytonk Homeslice, prove that his musical horizons will only continue to expand.

CHRIS PANDOLFI

Chris Pandolfi is quickly becoming recognized as one of the premier young banjo players on today's acoustic music scene. After being exposed to the music of Bela Fleck, he bought his first banjo while attending high school in New York. Chris later studied with legends Tony Trischka and Bill Evans, working on everything from traditional bluegrass to progressive instrumental music. In the fall of 2004 Chris moved to Nashville TN to start The Stringdusters, a full time project with Andy Hall on dobro, Chris Eldridge on guitar, Jesse Cobb on mandolin and Jeremy Garrett on fiddle and vocals.

TYLER GRANT

Tyler Grant is a young guitarist with high aspirations. A versatile musician, Tyler is an active and experienced performer and teacher of many musical styles. An award winning Flatpicker and guitarist in the Drew Emmitt Band, Tyler is ready to switch things up and will be playing bass in the Emmitt Nershi band.
