We are now in our 22nd year. Yipee! This year, 2009, PS Blues was awarded the 'Keeping the Blues Alive' award. Among the other winners are David Fricke of Rolling Stones magazine. It is a nice acknowledgement for 21+ years of volunteer efforts. Thanks for listening. This week we celebrate Keith Richards' birthday as well as play a wide girth of national and local Christmas music. We also feature a really terrific track from my English deejay friend, Mister Ally Lee, by a band he recorded, 'The Poor Boys.' The track is "She Moves on Water" and when you hear it, think of JC Fogerty (CCR) singing in front of Bob Segar's Silver Bullet Band - it a mofo rockin' good track my friend! We also hear Ally Lee's other project, Johnny Dickinson - which I have no doubt most of you will also enjoy. So Merry Christmas and have a safe holiday season. Rick

This week we take a long look at the "blues music" of Bob Dylan as well as a four song montage spanning the career of legendary Yardbirds guitar player Jeff Beck. Also, if you haven't, check out the song by the Poor Boys, "She Moves Like Water" at my archival podcast site, www.kiwrblues.podomatic.com. It is, I think, a very special song, that people who enjoy PS Blues will very much enjoy albeit more in the rock genre. Feel free to download and share "She Moves Like Water" among your friends - we'd like to get a viral campaign going for this terrific, unsigned, British band from the tiny village of Alnwick, Northumberland in northeast England. Thanks for listening! Rick

Join me this week when we have not one but TWO studio guests... In the second hour businessman and Blues Society of Omaha founding President Greg Lindberg joins us to play some of his favorite music. In the 3rd hour Travis Parks joins the show to play and discuss the music of legendary British rock band, 'The Kinks.' Perhaps one of the British Wave's least known stars, Ray Davies has been prolific and brilliant since the band's beginning in the early 1960's.

We rock it pretty good this week including new Jeff Beck, Bonamassa and some SRV. Tip'o the Hat to Dave Steen - who had Coco Montoya name his new album after Dave's penned track. Temptations triple play - phew, what a band. Those boys were hot! Enjoy the show? Tell a friend. www.facebook.com\psblues
