Blues Explosion performing at Iowa Blues Challenge

Just wanted to pass on some info about the Blues Ed group, The Blues Explosion (www.TheBluesExplosion.com). TBE is heading to the Quad Cities (Rock Island to be specific) this coming Saturday for the 2008 Iowa Blues Challenge. You may have seen some info on this in the current Blues Notes. There will be 4 bands competing at this event and the winner heads to Des Moines in May for a final competition against 2 other bands from the Des Moines preliminary rounds.

It should be a great event and a great experience for the group. Plus, we can spread the word about this great and unique program called Blues Ed.

Also, we want to thank Rick Galusha, from 89.7 The River, for allowing TBE to come on the radio this last weekend and for playing the group's new single. It's awesome that a local radio station takes an interest in the local music scene in town.
