Introducing Myself!

I'm here to introduce myself.... but first thanks to the Blue's Society for listing "Doin' It Acoustically" on the March calendar.

My name is Kim and I am a very amateur guitar player. However, I've been fortunate to co-host an open jam with Joe Lidgett every Thursday evening at the Dog Pound Bar & Grill (69th & Maple). While I am still hanging around in the bass note strum area for the most part, I've nicknamed Joe "the guitar jukebox of Blues & Country" as he can play almost anything someone could request. So I'd like to invite anyone at any playing level who is serious about playing (and those just wanting to listen) to join us!

I began learning the guitar about three years ago. If I had waited till I thought I was good enough to play at an open jam, I would have been waiting for years. So I just started "doin' it" (hence, "Doin' It Acoustically"). So while I'm taking baby steps at getting better, I'm out there having a great time! Yes, a small part of the world gets to watch me stumble and fall, but with a few skinned notes, they also get to watch me pick myself back up again and take another step! (LOL)
